日本に住んでいる皆さんへ、いくつか嬉しいニュースがあります。
Chase Blissの日本向け拠点（ハブ）を開設しました。すでにオープンしており、www.chasebliss.jp にて注文を受け付けています。 これにより、今後日本の皆さんは世界各国と同様の販売商品にアクセスできるほか、配送、修理、返品など私達のサービスをすべて日本国内で対応できるようになります。皆さんにとって大きな前進なはずです。
10月18日、東京の吉祥寺にて私達のショールームがオープンします！詳細は後ほど説明します。
これらは全て、日本のアンブレラカンパニーの人々のおかげです。なので彼らがどんな存在で、私達とどうやってここまでたどり着いたかを少し話しましょう。
バックストーリー
2022年10月にダイレクト販売を開始して以来、私達の日本におけるシチュエーションは常に特殊でした。世界中の他の地域では私達のウェブサイトから直接購入できたのに対し、日本からの注文は代わりにアンブレラカンパニーの協力のもとで処理されていました。これには様々な理由がありましたが、端的に言えば——日本は特殊なマーケットであり、サポートが必要だったのです。
大抵の場合はうまく機能していましたが、BストックセールやMystery Boxセールといった特別なタイミングでは少々不便でもありました。そのため日本に住む皆さんは一部の機会を逃す事になってしまいました（申し訳ありません）。
いずれは対策をする必要があると認識していましたが、アンブレラカンパニーのおかげでまさに実行に移す段階となったのです。従来のディストリビューターとしての関係から、今後はアンブレラカンパニーと提携しChase Blissの日本拠点を運営することになりました。
アンブレラカンパニー
アンブレラについて言いたいことは山ほどありますが、今は手短に済ませましょう。いずれ現地へ飛び、ミニドキュメンタリーを制作してこのストーリーを正しく伝えるつもりです。
彼がタケオ。2012年にアンブレラカンパニーを立ち上げた彼は、私がこれまで出会った誰よりも音楽のテクノロジーを愛している人間かもしれない。自社製のペダルを開発しているディストリビューターなんてほとんどいないでしょう（おそらく存在しないかも）。タケオが作り上げたものには深い情熱が込められていて、 アンブレラでは扱わないような風変わりな楽器を販売する別のショップも運営しています。
リオは私達のチャンピオン。私達の翻訳家であり、架け橋であり、何でも屋です。私たちはリオに多くのことを頼り、世界中を共に旅しながら深い絆を築いてきました。この文章が日本語で読めるのもリオのおかげです。全ては彼なしでは実現できませんでした。
そろそろ止めるべきかもしれませんが、これがアンブレラのチームです。日本でのご注文を全て担当するメンバーです。

正直なところ、これが現実になった（あるいは間もなく実現する）という事実が、まだ完全に実感できていません。ここは私たちのペダルを実際に手に取り、リラックスした雰囲気の中で様々な可能性を探求できる場所となるはずです。ワークショップや特別なイベント、そして何が行われるかはまだ未定ですが、私たちは今まさに、ここでの可能性を模索し始めたところです。きっととても楽しい場所になるでしょう。

I have a couple exciting announcements for those of you in Japan.
We now have a Japanese hub. It’s open and accepting orders at www.chasebliss.jp. This means that going forward, customers in Japan will have access to all of the same sales and things as the rest of the world, in addition to all shipping, repairs, and returns being handled within Japan.
We have a showroom in the Kichijoji neighborhood of Tokyo opening on October 18th! I’ll explain more about this below.
All of this is happening because of the people at Umbrella Company, so I want to talk a little bit about who they are and how we got here.

Backstory
Our situation in Japan has always been unique since we started selling direct in October of 2022. While the rest of the world was able to buy directly from our website, Japanese orders were instead handled by our friends at Umbrella Company. There were a bunch of reasons for this but to put it simply – Japan is a unique place and we needed help.
In most ways it worked well, but it was awkward during special occasions like our B-Stock or Mystery Box sales. It meant that Japanese customers inevitably missed out on some things (sorry about that).
We knew we had to do something about it eventually, and thanks to Umbrella Company we get to do it right now. Instead of being our distributors, we’re now partnering with Umbrella Company to run the Japanese hub.
Umbrella Company
There is a lot I want to say about Umbrella but I’m going to try to keep it short for now. In the future we’ll fly out there and tell the story the right way through a mini-doc.
This is Takeo, he founded Umbrella in 2012 and he might like music technology more than anybody I’ve ever met. There aren’t many distributors (maybe none) that also make time to create their own pedals. There is so much heart in what Takeo has built, and he also runs a whole other side business selling instruments that are too strange for Umbrella.
Rio is our champion. He’s our translator / bridge / everything person. We rely on Rio for so many things, and we’ve also travelled the world together and grown quite close. If you’re reading this in Japanese, it’s because of Rio. We couldn’t do this without him.
I should probably stop now, but this is the whole team. These are the people that will be handling all of your orders in Japan.
The showroom
Just look at that.
To be completely honest, it still hasn’t really sunk in that this exists (or is about to). It will be a place to get your hands on our pedals and explore different possibilities in a relaxed way. There will be workshops and special events and who knows what else, we’re just starting to wrap our heads around the possibilities here. It’s going to be very fun.
